Spot Proxy Sellers & Avoid Scams

Learn how to identify shady sellers and protect your money when buying PSN accounts

Proxy Seller Warning

Most proxy sellers won't admit they're proxies. They'll claim accounts are "safe and owned by a friend" - a friend they met 2 days before posting the account.

How to Spot Proxy Sellers

Account Listing Red Flags

Unverified Screenshots

Proxy sellers post images showing:

  • PS App not logged in
  • Just the username with "Add Friend" options
  • No proof of actual ownership
Example of suspicious listing:
CoolUsername
Add Friend · Message · Party

Avoids Proof of Ownership

  • Won't log into the account for you
  • Won't put the name in bio (claims it's "not safe")
  • Says verification is "too long to do"

Why trust them with hundreds of dollars when they can't provide basic proof?

Suspicious Account Details

"OGU" in Username

  • Recently many proxy sellers put "ogu" in their name
  • Historically used to impersonate trusted sellers
  • Attempt to appear safe using high-reputation keywords

"Proxy sellers never surprise me with their innovation to appear trusted"

Game Progress

  • Selling accounts that already have GTA progress on them
  • Only possible with inactive accounts obtained directly or migrated when sold
  • Progress won't be on OG words or 3/4 letters unless the seller includes a migratable with the inactive/fresh account. From my experience, only barcodes have GTA progress on PS4.
  • If a barcode has progress on PS5 but not PS4, it means the seller added a migratable to it.

Behavior Patterns

Mass Account Listings

  • Posting 10+ stories with 30+ PSN accounts each
  • All accounts are "OG" words, 3-4 letters

Account Recycling

  • Using an account as their main one day
  • Suddenly listing it for sale days later
  • Passing problems to buyers after finding issues

They bought an unsafe account and are passing the problem to you

Name Patterns

Dots in Username

  • Many proxy sellers use dots (.) in their Instagram usernames
  • Examples: "godspsns", "daniski.oa"
  • This is a common pattern to appear
Example of suspicious Instagram usernames:
namepsn
gta tryhard name
4 Letter @pdpe

Duplicate Account Listings

Same Account, Multiple Sellers

  • Search for the account name across different sellers
  • If the same account appears with multiple on random sellers, it's 95% a proxy
  • Proxy sellers often share the same accounts
How to check for duplicates:
Account: "Name"
Seller A: $200 | Seller B: $180 | Seller C: $220

Seller Networks

  • Proxy sellers often operate in networks
  • They share the same accounts between sellers
  • If you see the same accounts posted by different sellers within days, it's a red flag

It should only be one seller posting a account thats be available and not from multiple sellers posting It simultaneously!

Quick Detection Tip

Before buying any account, search the username on Instagram and check if multiple sellers are offering the same account. Legitimate sellers have exclusive access to their accounts.

Important Warning

The Proxy Risk

Proxy sellers might not scam you immediately - you'll likely receive the account information. But there's a high chance you won't be the owner for long.

You're not paying for an account - you're paying for temporary access until it gets recovered or banned.

Buy Accounts Securely

Stop risking your money with proxy sellers. Get genuine accounts with lifetime ownership and full transparency.
